March on the Pentagon Presents:
RAGE AGAINST THE WAR MACHINE
Last year around 2,000 of our friends and comrades joined us as we marched on the Pentagon in Arlington, VA, where we called for a revival of a mass antiwar/anti-imperialism movement, attention on the toll war takes on women across the globe, the environmental impacts of war, and much much more.
In 2019, we're fighting for the very same things and we're taking our march to the White House—where we won't be ignored!
We invite you to Rage Against the War Machine with us on Friday, October 11th.
If you're not outraged, you're not paying attention and we're committed to educating everyone about the atrocities of the War Machine.
Rage Against the War Machine Details:
The march portion of our weekend of outrage will take place on Friday, October 11th. Why a Friday? While we know that holding an event on a Friday poses a bit more of a logistical challenge for those attending from both in and out of town, we want our action to be visible. Last year, we were hidden in an empty parking lot near the Pentagon on a weekend. While we reached many people via online livestreams and were 2,000 activists strong during the march, we were unable to impact everyday Americans and folks that are collaborating with the War Machine. This year.. that changes.
We will gather at 11:00 am near the White House and will march together on a pre-determined route through Washington DC, where we will stop at various targets to highlight their collaboration with the War Machine. At each stop along the way we will hear from a brief speaker and hand out fliers related to that stop. We will end the march at a major target where there may be an opportunity to engage in an act of civil disobedience.
Those interested in learning more about civil disobedience and who need to make signs before the event, please meet us at 10 am in Lafayette Square.
